Dangers of Growing

I have been in the growing business in Northern California for a long time and I can tell you this; there are three things that are the biggest threat and danger to your well being and can cause the biggest potential harm and they go like this in this order.

Danger # One: FIRE! Fire is the biggest threat to your well being and to others.  Dealing with electricity and hot equipment leads to many a grow rooms burning to the ground.  I was involved with a grow that had a 150KW generator that caught fire and burned the generator shed to the ground.  We were not there at the time but luckily a CDF fire tower spotted it and stopped it before it set the forest on fire.  Imagine the liability if this had happened especially if someone got hurt or killed trying to put it out.  I know of another instance where CDF planes were called to extinguish a fire started by a illegal meth lab that blew up; one of the planes trying to extinguish the fire crashed and the pilot was killed; the meth lab geniuses were charged and found guilty of murder.  So this is why I put FIRE as number one on the list of danger when it comes to growing.

Danger # Two: ROBBERY: Being held up by drug crazed low life’s that don’t have the brains or ability to grow themselves, they come in many shapes and sizes and can be as easy as someone sneaking in a ripping you off to a very violent and sometimes life threatening event that is very scary.  Being held up by these losers is in my opinion way more dangerous then getting arrested by the cops because you never know how high or desperate they are.  My advice if you ever have someone hold you up let them have it what they came for, don’t fight them, open the door and step aside, don’t be stupid and pull a weapon and try and fight.  If you shot and kill one of these freaks you will be up on murder charges its not worth it, you can grow again these loser will never be able to do it, EVER!

Danger # Three: BUSTED:  DEA, Sherriff, Local Police, Narcotic’s Department and I am sure there are lots more agencies out there that will ruin your day.  If these guys show up at the door there are some very important rules to remember.  What ever you do; do not pull out a weapon this will get you killed and FAST and if you do live you will spend a long time in jail.  When approached you should be civil and when they ask you a question you say you politely REFUSE to talk and would like to contact your attorney.  This is where most people can’t help themselves and end up incriminating and increasing the charges against them, DON’T SAY A WORD! Keep quite and shut the fuck up.  If they produce a warrant you should tell them for the record that you are NOT GIVING them permission to enter the premises and then step aside and let them search. There have been many cases that were dismissed due to wrongly prepared warrants and by telling them you did not give them permission it becomes an illegal search and seizure.  My advice to people that are growing in the semi/legal states follow the laws get your permits and licenses.
