Avoid this place like the plague. This is the same business that was on Deerfield Dr. and has since moved to West River St. next to Deck Envy, not the one by Suddenlink.

Before these guys opened 3-4 years ago, we used to get price gouged by AGH, because they were the only shop in town. So when they opened I was excited to see there would finally be some competition. They were also a Sunlight Supply Dealer so there would be more product options locally.

Service has never been their strong point, generally it's a bunch of kids and pitbulls sitting around or skating in the shop because they have nothing better to do. Don't actually try to talk to anybody about gardening, because the only thing they know is Cannabis, and in my experience they don't know shit about that either.

Their shelves are rarely stocked with everything you need, though you can usually get some of what you need. The prices are retail, or maybe 10% off. I've spend thousands in this store every year, $50-200 at a time, because they've never been able to compete on my larger orders, so it's always just been a place to buy nutes or smaller stuff that I need right away.

Today I was excited when I walked in, because the guy behind the counter who took over last year informed me that he had just bought the store. This was great news, because I assumed it meant some level of service would be included. Unfortunately, he is completely clueless about customer satisfaction, and what it costs to earn and keep a customer.

On my last visit before today I had two duct fittings to return, but the new owner, who was an employee at the time, told me I couldn't return them without a receipt. I told him it had never been a problem in the past, and that I was there to spend money, but he basically told me it's not up to him, he just has to do his job or he'll lose it. I was a little turned off, but understood and didn't want to put him in a difficult position. I then bought a bunch of stuff, including a box of thermoflow 8" ducting, which I brought back to return 30 minutes later after I found out I didn't need it. This time I had my receipt and I was expecting cash. He told me I could only get store credit. This to me is ridiculous, but fine, I know I'm going to spend it in the future anyways. He was having a problem with his computer, and could figure out how to get the credit in. He tried to make a phone call, but it wasn't working. So he pulled out a calculator, and deducted it from my receipt with tax, wrote it down along with my customer account name, and assured me he'd put it in once the computer was working.

Fast forward to today. I go in to buy some black tubing, and tell him I have a credit. When he pulls up my account he tells me it's not in there. I remind him of what happened, and he says, "What do you want me to do, take your word for it?" I said, "Uh, Yes, I do want you to take my word for it." He told me he wasn't into that, at which time I informed him I wouldn't be back.

I usually buy 100' rolls of 1/2" tubing for $20, and 3/4" rolls for $50 at my shop in Sac. Here the price was double, so I was only buying what I needed - 10' of 1/2" and 22' of 3/4". Even if they were paying wholesale, what I'm used to paying down the hill, they were looking to lose $8. I spend a hell of a lot more than that to attract every customer I have, and far more to keep them coming back. This guy is now the new owner of this store, and he just lost a customer for life, over $8. WOW!

I went over to AGH, which is less than a mile down the street, and got the same thing for less money anyways.
