Aeroponics and Hydroponics
Solution Culture is one of the two main techniques used in Hydroponic gardening. When using the Solution Culture Method there is no solid medium, only the nutrient solution. There are three basic ways to this: Static Solution Culture, Continuous-Flow Solution Culture, and Aeroponics. Static Solution Culture usually uses a container such as a jar or bucket, and can be lightly aerated or not aerated. If the solution is not aerated the solution level is kept low enough for the plants roots to get enough oxygen. It is important to cover the water container with an opaque material to keep light out, this will prevent algae from forming. In Continuous-Flow Solution Culture the solution constantly flows past the roots instead of floating in the solution. The biggest benefit of the Continuous-Flow Solution Culture method is that it is easy to maintain the temperature and nutrient concentrations since there is a large storage tank separate from the plants. Aeroponics is the system where the plants roots are misted or sprayed with the nutrient solution.
When using the Solution Culture method of Aeroponics the plants roots are suspended in air and kept moist rather than saturated in the solution. Any plant can survive longer using this method because they get all the available oxygen and carbon dioxide, since they are not submerged in water. The plants are also less likely to become water logged this way, also when using Aeroponics compared to other Solution Culture Methods you could use 65% less water and a 25% of the nutrients.

Awesome blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any tips? Appreciate it!
