What would happen if you woke up one morning and looked out your window and your plants were three times the size they were the day before? Well this is not a fairy tale of a boy who planted a seed and woke up the next day to a bean stalk that went to the sky, however Hydroponic growth can give your plants the little push it needs to give you the most beautiful plants you ever could imagine growing.

In order to have an optimal Hydroponic growing system, it is important to have the correct nutrients and PH balance to grow the fastest and most beautiful plants. With a state of the art Hydroponic system you will not only get beautiful plants, but also plants that produce amazingly.

The most vital aspect of any growing operation is the nutrients introduced into the soil because we all know that plants get everything from the soil. Too little PH will cause the plant not to absorb vital nutrients and they will not grow well. When the PH is too high it can clog the lines in your Hydroponic system. In chemistry 101 we see that a PH balance of 7 is neutral, below 7 is acidic, and above 7 is alkaline. When growing plants you want the PH balance to be more on the acidic side. Not having the proper PH levels can cause a negative chemical reaction to your fertilizer and cause a disaster.

What should you do when your PH balance is down? If your PH balance should fall too low then you would add either potassium hydroxide or nitric acid, which ever you prefer.

What happens if your PH is up? If your PH should happen to be up then you would add phosphoric acid or sulfuric acid because the goal for Hydroponic growing would be acidic.

When concentrating on PH correction it is important that the PH level in the water is not the only thing to worry about. You must make sure your plants are standing tall with every correction you make to the PH balance whether it be up or down. Your plants must be able to handle the change and you must keep an eye on them to make sure they can withstand any changes you have made to the soil.

Each and every plant of course has its own needs when it comes to growing them and it is totally up to the person growing them to understand which nutrients are needed for each plant; but researching the internet you will find many tips and tricks to Hydroponic growing for the desired plant you are trying to harvest.

The cheapest way to check and see if your PH is up or your PH is down is to buy PH test strips. When mixed with a little water you can know in seconds the PH level of your system. So don’t under estimate the importance of PH within Hydroponic growing, it will keep your plants happy and healthy and growing wealthy for a long season of beautiful blooms.
