runs on 240 V electricity. has built in breakers so you can run 1 or 2 lights on different controls for dimming and power shut offs….like that its built in the USA …. might end up paying a little more for a good ballast but its better to pay now then later..comes with a warranty which i love, love having that comfort knowing if something breaks or something stops working i can get a new one no cost
